SF9’s Rowoon And Kim Hee Sun In Talks To Star As Leads Of Webtoon-Based Fantasy Drama

SF9’s Rowoon may be acting alongside Kim Hee Sun in the upcoming webtoon-based drama “Tomorrow” (literal title)!

On April 6, Sports Chosun reported that Rowoon had been cast as the main character Choi Joon Woong in ‘Tomorrow.’

A source from FNC Entertainment then stated to Sports Seoul, “‘Tomorrow’ is one of the dramas Rowoon has received an offer for. He is currently concentrating on filming ‘Yeonmo‘ (romanized title).”

After being jobless for three years, Choi Joon Woong decides to take his own life and goes to a bridge to jump off of it. However, he finds someone else there who is also about to jump off the bridge and gets into a fight trying to save them. In the fight, the two of them accidentally fall off the bridge. A crisis management team run by grim reapers belatedly arrives at the scene, and Choi Joon Woong ends up falling into a three-year coma with his soul having escaped his body due to an error caused by the grim reapers. Now a soul who is half alive and half dead, he unexpectedly gets a job at the crisis management team at the most prominent company of grim reapers in the underworld. His job at the team involves taking special care of people with a high risk of suicide and helping them want to continue living.

Kim Hee Sun may be starring in a new fantasy office drama!

On April 6, Xportsnews reported that Kim Hee Sun was positively reviewing the offer to star in the webtoon-based drama “Tomorrow” (literal title). Following reports, a source from Kim Hee Sun’s agency Hinge Entertainment confirmed, “Kim Hee Sun has received an offer to star as the female lead in the webtoon-based drama ‘Tomorrow,’ and she is in the process of positively reviewing the offer.”

The webtoon “Tomorrow” is a grim reaper office fantasy about a job seeker named Choi Joon Woong, who can do everything but get a job. Through an unfortunate accident, Choi Joon Woong falls into a coma, and he meets grim reapers in a company called Joomadeung (phantasmagoria), which monopolizes the underworld. He begins to help people in danger after joining the crisis management team at the company’s spirit management headquarters as the youngest contract employee. In the process of converting the webtoon into a drama, parts of the story are expected to change.

Kim Hee Sun has been offered the role of the charismatic grim reaper and team leader Goo Ryun, who has a hidden story. She leads Lim Ryoong Goo and Choi Joon Woong in saving the lives of people who are contemplating suicide. Recently, Kim Hee Sun received much praise for her acting in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Alice,” in which she took on two different roles.

According to the reports, “Tomorrow” is slated to premiere in the first half of next year and will begin filming at the end of this year. It’ll be co-produced by Supermoon Pictures, which produced “My Strange Hero” and “Goodbye to Goodbye,” and Studio N.
