'Billboard 200' K-pop group occupies 4 teams... BTS, Seventeen, Tubatu, Twice

K-pop groups became regular customers on the US Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200'.

According to Billboard on the 30th, 4 K-pop groups were ranked in the 'Billboard 200' on July 3rd.

With their 8th mini-album 'Your Choice', released on the 18th, SEVENTEEN ranked 15th in the top of the Billboard 200. It succeeded in charting the first chart on the Billboard main chart. They surpassed 17th place on the Billboard 200, which they had previously targeted through a global press conference.

The group's 2nd regular album 'Chaos Chapter: Freeze' of the group 'TOMORROW X TOGETHER' (TXT, TUBATOO) ranked 83rd on the 'Billboard 200' on the same day. The album has maintained its chart-in for three consecutive weeks after entering #5 on the 'Billboard 200' chart on June 19th.

In addition, the group 'TWICE''s 10th mini-album 'Taste Of Love' also ranked 60th and entered the charts for the second week. The album debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 last week, the second-highest ranking in K-pop girl group history.

In addition, the existing albums of the global supergroup 'BTS' are still settled on the 'Billboard 200'. The 4th regular album 'Map of the Soul: 7', released in February last year, ranked 102nd, and 'BE', released in November last year, ranked 141th.

As K-pop idols are firmly established in the North American market, it is analyzed that 'Billboard 200', which is based on fandom, has now become a playground for K-pop. LOONA, which is not affiliated with a major agency, also ranked 112th on the Billboard 200 with their album '12:00' last year.

K-pop idols have already occupied the top of the Billboard 200 several times. BTS took 5th place, and SM Entertainment's joint group 'SuperM' took 1st place. Group 'Monsta X', group 'NCT 127', Black Pink, and Tomorrow X Together entered the top 5 on 'Billboard 200'.

An official from the popular music industry predicted, "As the fandom for various K-pop idols increases, the number of K-pop idol
groups that are not large agencies will also enter the Billboard 200."
